1. What is the difference between powder coating and painting?

Powder Coating uses a fine ground polyester powder applied to galvanized metal. We utilize Diamond Coat powder coating technology and sophisticated electronic equipment which applies heat to the surface, allowing the polyester to melt and form a continuous coat on the metal. This coat forms a seal that prevents corrosive materials from reaching the metal. Simply put, powder coating is much stronger and longer-lasting than paint. Paint will eventually fade and chip, exposing the metal to the elements. But a Sundance fence won't fade or chip because our ironwork is powder coated, making it virtually maintenance-free.

2. Why would I want galvanized metal?

Longevity. Galvanized metal provides a product that is covered in layers of zinc to prevent rust from attacking the metal. For quality, long-lasting fencing, galvanized steel is an essential fabrication component. Without galvanization, the metal will rust quickly and not provide a durable finish. Our products are produced from domestic galvanized steel.

3. Are your materials American-made?

At Sundance Fence & Iron, we pride ourselves by providing American made products for our customers. We use all domestic steel and produce the finished product right here in great state of Texas.

4. What is the advantage of using in-house crews instead of subcontractors?

Our in-house installation crews give us the ability to control all variables, from the initial design to final installation. We teach and train our team members the specific way we want our products installed, giving careful attention to every detail. Using our own crews allows us to maintain the highest level of quality assurance.

5. Do you have DIY products available?

Yes, we have a wide variety of fencing materials available for Do It Yourself (DIY) installation. Visit our showroom today and one of our experts can provide you with all of the materials, parts and accessories you will need to complete your project at home.

6. What does your warranty cover?

Sundance Fence & Iron warranties its products for 10 years and our workmanship for 2 years. All fence components which are manufactured with galvanized steel and using the Diamond Coat powder coating process are warrantied against defect in materials and workmanship for 10 years form the original purchase date as shown on the invoice. Components requested using raw steel or cast iron are not warrantied against rust for any period. This warranty is limited to replacement of defective materials upon proof of defect. It does not cover removal, installation, any shipping or handling, or any other associated costs. All installation work performed by Sundance Fence & Iron is warrantied for 2 years from the original purchase date as shown on the invoice. Shifting soil or changes in grade to the terrain is not covered by the Sundance Fence & Iron labor warranty.
